Friends’ journey to success
TWO friends have graduated from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David following a transformational journey that took them from undergraduate teaching assistants to master’s graduates.
Anna Murphy, 44, and Lianne Bowen, 35, from Pontyberem, originally joined the university on a foundation degree for teaching assistants and then completed a BA top up, studying part time, before moving on to complete master’s degrees in Equity and Diversity.
Both worked as teaching assistants throughout their studies and credit each other with providing the support and encouragement to qualifications while also holding down jobs.
Jacques Mahe has graduated with a BA degree in Education Studies: Primary from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD).
Jacques studied his course through the medium of Welsh at UWTSD’s Carmarthen campus. Jacques currently features in an S4C online series called Hansh.
