Smothers moves for Jones

CARMARTHEN Town boss Neil Smothers has bolstered his defensive unit with the signing of Alaric Jones.

The powerful left-back makes the step up to Welsh Premier League level following an impressive spell with Haverfordwest County.

Jones came through the agegrade system at Swansea City before moving to Haverfordwest when he was 15.

He has captained Wales Under-18 schoolboys in the Centenary Shield and also played against Gibraltar for the Wales Under-18 Academy side.

He is Smothers’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Chris Jones, Elliot Scotcher and Josh Bull.
