Iceland run for Carter

SARN Helen runner Pamela Carter headed to Iceland to take part in the Suzuki Midnight Sun Run Half Marathon.

She completed the course in a fine time of 2.05.23.

Meanwhile, Irfon Thomas was the first Sarn Helen runner home in the Swansea Half Marathon in a time of 1.31.11.

Other club runners taking part were Steffan Thomas (1.39.55), Delyth Crimes (1.46.58), Matthew Walker (1.49.48), Enfys NeedhamJones (1.56.05), Nicola Williams (1.59.54), Elisha Leigh Jones (2.06.17) and Sian Bela Jenkins (2.13.11).

And two Sarn Helen runners took part in the Sospan 10k along the Millennium Coastal Path. Caryl Wyn Davies finished in 46.12 and Rebecca Doswell in 1.05.05.

The Felinfach club races took place on a warm evening, with a number of fine performances.

In the junior 800m, first overall was Gethin Jones-Thomas, followed by Llewelyn Gregson. Eva Davies (Sarn Helen) was third.

First in the junior 1500m was Jayce Jones, followed by Jack Rogers and Cerith Parry.

And in the junior 3000, first was Sarn Helen’s Rhys Williams, followed in second by clubmate Jack Caulkett. Scott Price (Carmarthen) took third.

Sarn Helen’s Sion Price on the senior six-mile race in 33.19, followed by club-mate Eirwyn Roberts. Third was Llyr ab Einon of Aberystwyth AC.
