Hundreds get ready to feature in Ammanford race
SUNDAY will see club and fun runners take to the streets of Ammanford in their numbers at the town’s annual 10k road race.
The race, beginning at the Ammanford Recreation Ground, follows the traditional route around the town before passing the Bonllwyn Green to Llandybie and the surrounding area. Athletes will retrace their steps back down the country lanes at Aberlash to the finish line, which will be located on the field outside the rugby club. The event sponsors are Ammanford Lions Club, Llys Cennen Solicitors and Brecon Carreg.
Last year the event attracted 275 runners, the largest turnout in its history.
For the second year in succession the Ammanford race incorporates the West Wales Road Running Championships where regional medals will be up for grabs.
