Reds swoop for Sherborn

Llanelli Star - - SOCCER -

LLANELLI Town boss Andy Hill has boosted his attacking options with the signing of Luke Sherborn.

The former Aberystwyth Town star brings with him a wealth of experience, having played for 14 seasons in the Welsh Premier League.

And it is that experience Hill will hope can be a major advantage as Llanelli step up their preparations for life in the new FAW Championship South.

Sherborn can play in a number of positions and was Aberystwyth’s player of the season in 2014-15. He has recently been playing for Penrhyncoch.

Hill said: “The whole of Welsh football knows what Luke is capable of.

“He brings with him a tremendous amount of experience and professionalism that will fit in perfectly with our plans this season.”

Llanelli defeated Garden Village in a pre-season friendly on Friday. Village’s goals were scored by Brieg Matthews and Sam Handy.

The Reds host Port Talbot Town tonight (7pm) and head to Carmarthen Town next Wednesday (7.30pm).
