James boys steal the show

CARDI­GAN brothers Kevin and Colin James stole the lime­light in the four-day Ceredi­gion Bowl­ing As­so­ci­a­tion fi­nals at Aber­aeron.

Welsh in­ter­na­tional Kevin suc­cess­fully de­fended his Open Sin­gles ti­tle and in the process set a record by win­ning for the third year on the trot.

Lam­peter king­pin Nick Ran­dell was ex­pected by many to push James, but he did not mount a se­ri­ous challenge to the cham­pion, who romped home by 21 shots to six.

James joined el­der brother Colin, the cur­rent Cardi­gan cap­tain, to win the Open Pairs for the sec­ond year in suc­ces­sion. They beat Lam­peter duo An­drew Wil­liams and Henry Jones 21-13.
