Duo fight back to snatch title

-

DORIAN Bowen and Andrew Langley claimed Blind Pairs glory in the Carmarthen Men’s Summer Darts League.

The tournament, held at the Railway Club, threw up some intriguing matches and the Coracle A and Queens partnership of Bowen and Langley took on Peter Evans (Coracle A) and Graham Slate (Queens) in the final.

The final was set alight in the first leg as Slate recorded a maximum.

However, the pairing of Bowen and Langley hung in and took the final to a deciding leg. In that leg, the form of Evans and Slate deserted them as their opponents claimed the title.

Bowen threw two maximums, while also recording 180s were Mike Jones, Slate and Alan Davies. Peter Evans threw a 177.

This week the league stages a Blind Fours tournament at the Railway Club. Teams are reminded to enter four players each and the tournament will again use a seeding method to determine the line-ups. Registration is at 8pm.
