Abba night On Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 19, the Lon­don West End Den­mark Street Band and singers re­turn to Pon­ty­berem Hall to ren­der the hits of Abba. Tickets for ta­ble seat­ing £20 per per­son, gallery seat­ing at £10 per per­son. Show starts 7.30pm fol­lowed by a disco un­til late. Early book­ing ad­vised. A GROUP of cycling fundrais­ers based at a Llanelli restau­rant have raised more than £1,300 for Great Ormond Street Hos­pi­tal.

The rid­ers from the Sand­piper cy­cled 13km and raised £1,334.50 which takes their to­tal raised to £2,743 in the past four months.

The group hopes to raise £4,000 by next Fe­bru­ary by do­ing dif­fer­ent ac­tiv­i­ties and hope to raise awarenes. The cy­clists were Jes­sica Pratt (or­gan­iser), Jonathan Haines, Hol­lie Jenk­ins, Hay­ley Baum­ber, Peter Barone-Har­ris So­phie Meyrick, So­phie Stevens, Christo­pher Hur­ley, Va­lerie Mil­lard and Alan Baum­ber.

Vol­un­teers needed Age Cymru Sir Gâr is look­ing for vol­un­teers to help older peo­ple stay warm and save en­ergy by in­stalling ra­di­a­tor re­flec­tors, night­lights, en­er­gysav­ing light­bulbs and timer sock­ets in their homes. Why not make a dif­fer­ence and make some­one feel more in­de­pen­dent in their own home? Vol­un­teer­ing is flex­i­ble, giv­ing up one hour a week or one day a week, you still make a dif­fer­ence.
