Former Whites skipper in charge at Felinfoel
FORMER Swansea skipper Sam Kiley is the new coach of Felinfoel RFC.
The ex-lock is embarking on a new challenge after having spent 13 seasons with the All Whites.
He replaces Mike King, who has left the Llanelli club after two successful campaigns and is now in charge at Carmarthen Athletic.
Kiley has big shoes to fill at Felinfoel, with the club having clinched the One West title for the last two seasons.
But they have twice suffered play-off agony as they chased a place in the WRU Championship.
But Kiley brings with him a wealth of experience, having captained Swansea for six seasons and played for Wales at under-19 and under-20 level.
“I can’t wait to get started,” he said, as he revealed the news via Twitter.
Back-rower Jordan Evans has returned to Felinfoel after a stint with Llandovery, while Carl Edwards is back following a spell with Bynea. Loosehead prop Sean Lee is another to have put pen to paper for the season. Elliot Dawe and Jo Hutchings have left for Championship side Narberth, while tighthead Gareth Havard has moved to Llanelli.
