Councillor hopes for Boris visit

Llanelli Star - - LETTERS -

LLANELLI Town councillor Siôn Davies has welcomed Boris Johnson as the new Prime Minister - and he hopes he will visit Llanelli soon.

The Elli ward councillor said: “I backed Boris pretty much from the start so I’m really happy he’s been elected as our new leader.

“Brexit still hasn’t been delivered, the country’s deeply divided and Jeremy Corbyn’s got his eye on Number 10.

“So I think to get us through to the other side, we need someone with a bit of ‘wow factor’. Boris has got that in spades.

“He campaigned for Brexit – like me – and he’s optimistic about the opportunities Brexit can offer us.

“He’s committed to get us out of the EU by October 31 and that’s good news, too.

“I like what he has to say about better education, better infrastructure and more police. And I’m really optimistic about his time as Prime Minister – I think he’ll be great.

“I’ll be inviting him to come and campaign with me in Llanelli. I think he’d have a warm welcome.”

Boris Johnson.
