Quartet take on sizzling challenge
TAF Running and Orienteering Club were represented by four members in the gruelling Sospan Sizzler Triathlon in Burry Port.
Simon Williams, Simon Scurrell, Rob Newman and Jim Dilks completed the half-ironman distance of a 1.9k swim, 90k cycle ride and 20k run.
Meanwhile, Llyr Roberts and Dewi Snelson took part in the prestigious Snowdon International Mountain race, finishing 255th and 343rd.
The first race in the Poppit Sands 5k series included 10 TROTS runners, led by Nick Merrony, who won the M50 age category, finishing 16th in 20 minutes 34 seconds.
Behind him in 29th was Sarah Roberts, who took a fine third place in a competitive F35 category.
In 41st was Dylan Evans, just ahead of M60 runner-up Keith Powell and F45 runner-up Mair Morgan.
Karen Bowman was 55th and second F55, David Bowman 58th, Julie Barber 69th, Jayne Evans 71st and Sonya Jones 77th.
Luke Evans finished in seventh position at the Ras Frenni at Crymych.
Sarah Roberts was 11th and first lady over the line.
Mair Morgan was 15th and Jayne Evans 18th.
