Clubs suffer mixed draws

THERE were mixed fortunes for Newcastle Emlyn, Crymych and Cardigan in the draw for round one of the WRU Plate and Bowl competitions.

Newcastle Emlyn are at home against fellow One West rivals Yr Hendy, while Crymych of the same division have been drawn away against Fishguard of Two West.

Cardigan of Three West A, who reached the semi-final of the Bowl two seasons ago, have a home draw in the first round against Three West B outfit Furnace United.

First-round ties are to be played on Saturday, September 21.
