REIGNING champions Lampeter are hot favourites to retain their title in this year’s Ceredigion Bowling Associatio­n.

Leaders Cardigan and secondplac­ed Lampeter prepare to go head to head at the Gwbert Road green in Cardigan today.

But the Cardis dropped four shots against Aberystwyt­h in their latest outing and go into the crunch game only three ahead of their rivals, who have a game in hand.

To stand a realistic chance of lifting the title, Colin James and Co need to pile up the points against the champions.
