Second Chance Cancer Appeal A sponsored cycle ride from Castell Caernarfon to Castell Cydweli will take place on August 31. A member of the Ail Gyfle committee, Gethin Davies, together with nine other cyclists along with two support drivers will start from Caernarfon at 9am on Saturday and arrive in Cydweli on Sunday afternoon, September 1. The aim is to raise awareness of the charity Ail Gyfle/Second Chance Cancer Appeal throughout Wales by informing social media, radio and television as well as raising money. The charity was formed in 2003 and has by now donated over £84,755. Following welcome home greetings outside the castle, Mynyddygarreg Rugby Club will be the venue for the cyclists to relax, enjoy the delights of a pig roast and be entertained by the talented and popular Karen Elli. Tickets for the pig roast and entertainment are available from members of the committee- price £5. Gethin and the committee are grateful to Gravell’s and John Burns for their kind support for the venture.
