New signings for Reds

-

LLANELLI Town manager Andy Hill says he is delighted to sign two new players as the club bid to return to the Welsh Premier League at the first time of asking.

On Sunday the club announced it had secured the services of midfielder Kyle Copp, who joins the Reds from Spanish third-tier side Atarfe Industrial, while the Stebonheath club have also signed Jake Parry, a player Hill describes as “one of the most talented left-backs at this level”.

“Kyle is a great asset for us,” said Hill of the 22-yearold from Swansea, who had spells with Yeovil Town and Merthyr Town before heading to southern Spain.

“Everything about his game suits us — he’s one of those players who can change a game with a moment of magic.”

Versatile defender Parry originally came through the ranks at Stebonheath before heading out to Swansea City, Port Talbot and, more recently, Goytre United.

Hill said: “We are absolutely delighted to have Jake on board. He’s a real talent and he’s suits the way we play.”

The Reds travel to Old Road this Saturday to meet Briton Ferry Llansawel in the second round of the Nathaniel MG Cup. Kick-off is at 2.30pm.

They then get their league season in the new JD Cymru South division under way the following Friday (August 16) with a home game against Pontypridd Town (7.30pm).

Llanelli’s season tickets, which cover all home firstteam games and also the development team’s home matches, are now available to buy. The cost for adults is £70, £10 for under-16s and £40 for OAPs.
