League format stays as it is

A PROPOSED change of format in the Costcutter Ceredigion Football League with two divisions instead of three has been turned down and clubs opted for the status quo.

This was decided at a league management meeting when it was resolved to have 11 teams in division one, nine in the second division and six reserve teams making up the third division.

Div 1: St Dogmaels, Crannog, Lampeter Town, Llandysul, Cardigan Town, Felinfach, NC Emlyn, Ffostrasol, Llanboidy, Dewi Stars, Aberporth.

Div 2: Aberaeron Res, Bargod Rangers, Maesglas, New Quay, St Dogmaels Res, Ffostrasol Res, Crannog Res, Crymych, Lampeter Res.

Div 3 (Reserves): Llandysul, NC Emlyn, Llanboidy, Maesglas, Felinfach, Cardigan.

The new season starts on Tuesday, August 20, for teams in the first division, with division two kicking off the following day.

There will be two further batches of fixtures for the two divisions on August 27 and 28, with division three getting under way on Saturday, August 31.
