Nia and Tom Mullen on their wedding which took place on Saturday, August 3, in Chester. Nia is the daughter of Ian and Maria Evans and granddaughter of Eirlys and the late Neville Evans, Avalon. We wish them both a happy and successful future.
Home from hospital Home, after a lengthy stay in hospital is Malcolm Jones of Swn yr Afon. He is wished a speedy recovery by all the villagers.
Apêl CanserAil Gyfle A sponsored cycle ride from Castell Caernarfon to Castell Cydweli will take place on August 31. A member of the Ail Gyfle committee, Gethin Davies, together with nine other cyclists along with two support drivers will start from Caernarfon at 9am on Saturday morning and arrive in Cydweli on Sunday afternoon September 1. The aim is to raise awareness of the charity Ail Gyfle/ Second Chance Cancer Appeal throughout Wales by informing social media, radio and television as well as raising money. The charity was formed in 2003 and has by now donated over £84,755. Following welcome home greetings outside the castle Mynyddygarreg Rugby Club will be the venue for the cyclists to relax, enjoy the delights of a pig roast and be entertained by the talented and popular Karen Elli. AGM Bydd pwyllgor Ail Gyfle yn cynnal cyfarfod cyffredinol blynyddol ar Ddydd Llun, Medi 16, am 7.30yh yng Nghlwb Rygbi Mynyddygarreg. Mae croeso i aelodau o’r cyhoedd i fod yn bresennol yn ystod y trafodion hyn. The Second Chance committee will be holding its annual general meeting on Monday, September 16, at 7.30pm in Mynyddygarreg Rugby Club. Members of the public are welcome to attend these proceedings.
