We seem to be over the worst

-

THE arrival of June has brought with it new hopes and some welcome signs that we seem to be over the worst of things, at least for now.

Lockdown restrictions are starting to ease, and we’re beginning to see a return to some sort of normality.

We’re not quite there yet, but in the next few weeks we should see more services back up and running and we’re planning very carefully as to how we can reintroduce these safely.

Getting back to any kind of normality relies entirely on your cooperation, and I want to thank you personally for your support over recent weeks – on the whole people have respected the restrictions and our decisions, and that has helped keep Carmarthenshire safe.

We’re seeing the numbers of cases locally decline, and we want to keep it that way. And so, as we start to plan for the re-opening of our services, I want to appeal to you to continue your support.

We have difficult decisions to make, at all times putting health and safety over and above anything else.

We want to bring our services back as much as you want to see them return.

As changes are likely to be made over the coming weeks, I would ask you to keep an eye on our website and social media feeds for updates and share with your friends and family.

I also encourage you to follow the guidelines – stay local, and stay safe. By doing so we can continue to protect each other.
