Police investigat­ing an alleged burglary make CCTV appeal

POLICE investigat­ing an alleged burglary want to speak to a man pictured on CCTV wearing chequered trousers and a dressing gown.

According to DyfedPowys Police, the incident happened at the Farchnad Fach store, on Bethesda Road, Tumble, in Carmarthen­shire, between 2.30am and 3.20am on Tuesday, May 19. A number of gas bottles and kerosene containers went missing from a secure metal cage outside the shop.

Officers are now appealing to the public to identify a man wearing what look like chequered pyjama bottoms, or trousers, and a dark coloured dressing gown.

It is believed the person could have informatio­n that could help the investigat­ion.

A spokeswoma­n for the force said: “DyfedPowys Police is investigat­ing an allegation of burglary which occurred at the Farchnad Fach store, Bethesda Road, Tumble between 2.30am and 3.20am on Tuesday,

May 19, 2020.

“A number of gas bottles and kerosene containers were stolen from a secure metal cage outside the property.

“Officers have carried out all possible lines of enquiry, and are now appealing for help from the public.

“They would like to identify the person in the CCTV image, who may have informatio­n that could help the investigat­ion.”

PC Iwan Lewis added: “While the image in the CCTV is not clear the clothes the person is wearing is quite plain, being a chequered pyjama bottoms or trousers and a dark coloured dressing gown with a hood.”
