A MCDONALD’S worker from Llanelli has gone viral after keeping queues of traffic entertained with his dancing.

Gavyn Brewster, a floor manager at the chain’s restaurant in Morfa, Swansea, took it upon himself to keep queuing customers amused as the store reopened last week.

Customers waiting to get their fast food fix after 10 weeks were treated to dance routines to songs by the likes of Beyonce, Shakira and Lady Gaga.

Many took to social media to share videos of Mr Brewster that they had filmed while waiting for their food, with some gaining more than 45,000 views in a couple of hours.

The 26-year-old, from Llanelli, said: “We opened at 11am today (Wednesday) and had a queue from 9.30am.

“The way we split our car park is so that the cars are split into one of three lanes and then I direct one at a time into the drive-thru to keep as many cars as possible off the main road.

“I started speaking to all the customers in the cars and getting them ready.

“I’m a professional drag queen as well so I’m used to entertaining crowds. My name is Diana D and I’m a resident drag queen at the Kings Arms in Swansea in the nights and before the lockdown I was doing weddings, birthdays, hen parties, the lot.

“I was chatting to people and asking them if they knew what they were going to order and then someone was playing music.

“They blasted it up and I was dancing away and some people were recording me.”

Charlene Williams, from St Thomas, was just one of the many customers that witnessed Mr Brewster’s dancing.

The 35-year-old said: “It was at about 3.50pm and we were only there about 15 minutes but we saw him dancing.

“He said it would make his day if I played his favourite song and I found it and he started dancing for us all.

“He put a lot of smiles on people’s faces.”

Mr Brewster, who has worked at the restaurant for the past year, said that as his shift went on people were arriving at the drivethru telling him that they had seen the videos of him dancing.

“It’s been mental,” he added. “So many people have messaged me and I’ve seen one video with 46,000 views.

“As the afternoon went on people were coming in saying ‘you’re the one on Facebook’ and I was even taking requests.

“People have been messaging me saying ‘you’ve made me smile’ and that’s what my job is, whether it’s serving in McDonald’s or in drag.”
