Polling station The Bancffosfe­len & Crwbin Hall at Heol y Banc is the polling station for the elections on Thursday, May 6, for the Senedd and DyfedPowys Police Commission­er elections. Voters must bring along their own pen or pencil to mark the ballot papers and follow other Covid safety indoor restrictio­ns. Bancffosfe­len Post Office The village hall hosts the community post office on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 2pm and 4pm. Times may vary due effects of the pandemic.

Chemist times Monday to Friday trading hours of the local pharmacy are 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5.30pm. Inside the store there is a maximum of two customers at any one time.

Balls of Fun This latest project by the community is to yarn bomb Pembrey and Burry Port in various locations. We need your help in knitting or crocheting brightly coloured long scarf lengths with a width of 7 inches/17 centimetre­s with the length as long as you like. Also, if you can create 3D objects in wool, poppies or seaside-type knits, we would love to hear from you. Contact Sharron on 07793 890589. We are supported by Burry Port and Pembrey Town Council.

Burry Port Bowls Club Now that organised outdoor activities for up to 30 people are allowed in Wales, the bowls club can open the green for practice and training. A full fixture list has been provided by the Llanelli & District Bowling League, and also the Dinefwr League and Carruthers Shield. All games for 2021 will comply with the Covid restrictio­ns that will be in place. All old and new members are invited to join the club, so please come along and join with us on Monday at 2pm.

Recycle your garden pots Drop them in the collection tub in the Memorial Hall car park provided by the town council.They will re-use them to provide flowers for the community or if you need some then help yourself.
