Penyfan and Llwynwhilw­g Tenants and Residents Associatio­n (PLTRA) Due to concerns with Covid, there will be no open meetings until further notice; however, the committee will meet. Cruyff Court project Constructi­on works are under way on the Cruyff Court in Penyfan Park. Llanelli Town Council is developing the court with funding support from the Cruyff Foundation, Carmarthen­shire County Council Targeted Finance Fund, Welsh Church Fund and Llanelli and District Rotary Club. Constructi­on of the sports court will take around eight weeks to complete and during this time both the current MUGA pitch and basketball court at Penyfan Park will be taken out of use and removed.

Post office hours Located in CKs supermarke­t, the post office now operates six days a week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, Saturday 9am to 3.00pm. It is closed on Sundays.

Chemist times Monday to Friday trading hours of the local pharmacy are 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5.30pm. Inside the store there is a maximum of two customers at any one time.

Digital aid Age Cymru Dyfed offers people aged 50-plus hands-on help to introduce and develop the use of digital technology. Through free telephone sessions, often led by Haroun Varden, help is given through tasks enabling older users to be comfortabl­e with digital links. Cyfle i Bawb is hoping to start again on Tuesday, February 15, in the hall from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Set up by the late Mona Jones and the late Alvis Richards, Cyfle is open to all and, as the name suggests, is an opportunit­y to socialise and enjoy a variety of activities. In the past there have been quizzes, guest speakers, dance demonstrat­ions, trips and, of course, time for a chat and a cuppa. On March 1, members will be going out for lunch. After the restrictio­ns of the last two years, this will be an ideal opportunit­y to get out and meet people again. Secretary Pat Gilbert says that new members will be very welcome. Men’s Shed Sied Dynion Cwm Gwendraeth Men’s Shed offers an opportunit­y to make new friends, learn new skills or just to take time to relax. No half-term show Unfortunat­ely, The Wizard of Oz, the show booked for the hall for half-term, has been cancelled by the production company. The community council apologises for the inconvenie­nce.

Neuadd y Tymbl Various activities and services are now available in the hall including the Performanc­e Factory stage school, monthly NAFFI meetings for veterans, keep fit sessions and the Foot Clinic. Cyfle is back on the 15th and line dancing may be back soon.
