-

THE semi-finalists in the West Wales Intermediate Cup are Trostre AFC, Hakin United, Rockspur and Seven Sisters Onllwyn.

It took 120 minutes of football, but Trostre AFC kept the flag flying for the Carmarthenshire League with a thrilling 3-2 extra-time win in their away tie against South Gower.

Striker Liam Jones scored two of the Trostre goals, including a late winner, and there was one for Jack James.

And there was an eye-catching performance from Pembrokeshire League side Hakin United, who sensationally knocked out runaway West Wales Premier League leaders Penlan Club 4-0.

Ashley Bevan netted twice for Hakin, who added more goals through Shane Walsh and Jack Britton.

Despite playing with 10 men for 70 minutes, Rockspur still proved too strong for visiting Plough Colts in winning 2-0.

A goal from Gareth Morrell, plus a penalty by Sam Keefe was enough to give Rockspur the edge.

And in the final quarter-final tie, Seven Sisters Onllwyn beat Pembrokeshire League side St Clears 3-1 thanks to goals from Steffan Jenkins (2) and Christian Elkins.

In the only game played in the Premier division of the Carmarthenshire League, Leon Bonifacio scored two as Seaside climbed into fifth place in the table following their 5-0 win at home to Killay. Also on target were Callum Thomas, Ben Honeybun and Ross Jones.

One point from the last league game away to Felinfoel on April 16 will guarantee Pwll Athletic runnersup spot after they won 2-1 at Johnstown on Saturday. Marcus James and Jude Howells were on target for Pwll.

Five points from the last three league games will guarantee Caerbryn the title in division two, and the champions-elect moved closer to glory with another stunning win, 8-1 away to Carmarthen United. Striker Lewis Rees got four of the goals, and it was 3-1 at half-time.

Kieran Jones struck twice for Caerbryn, and there was a goal each for Oliver Dymond and Rhys Morgan.

In reserve division three, FC Carmarthen Reserves beat Caerbryn Reserves 3-2. Dan Thomas (2) and Osian Thomas scored for the winners, with Matthew Waugh and David Roberts on target for Caerbryn.

There was action in the new-look Senior Cup, and first division Llangennech defied the odds with a stunning 5-3 win at home to Premier division Bwlch Rangers to launch their campaign in Group A.
