Kidwelly Town Bowls are looking for old and new members for the new season from Kidwelly and the surrounding areas. An open day will be held on Easter Saturday, April 16, from 2pm to 5pm at Parc Stephens (opposite the rugby field). Free season’s membership to all newcomers to the game. Ladies, gents and children over 11 years of age are welcome with unlimited use of the bowling green during the summer. Just come along with flat-soled shoes or trainers and bowls will be provided by the club. A qualified coach will be on hand to introduce you to the game and show you around. Enjoy learning a new sport and develop news skills as well as meeting and making new friends. Refreshments will be available on the day. Kidwelly Rugby Club Bingo every Thursday at 8pm. Social distancing rules are in place. All welcome.
Spring Food & Craft Fair Saturday at Mynydd-y-Garreg Hall from 10am-2pm.
Baby Boogie held at Trinity Methodist Church, Kidwelly. Tomorrow, 3.45pm onwards, Easter egg hunt – all welcome. Musical fun for babies and toddlers at 9.15am to 10.15am, £1 per child (siblings welcome during school holidays) held on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Sessions are subject to change in light of Covid. Face masks/visors are optional at present (or in line with current guidelines). Risk assessments are in place for Covid and health and safety.
St Mary’s Church First, third, fourth and fifth Sunday, 9.30am, Morning Prayer. Every Sunday, 5pm, Evening Prayer. Second Sunday of the month, 11am, Foreol Weddi. Holy Eucharist with prayers for healing held Wednesdays at 9.30am. To comply with Church in Wales guidelines, face masks must still be worn in church.
Trinity Methodist Church Sunday Morning Worship at 10.30am.
Kidwelly Pop-up Market held on the first Saturday of each month. Fresh produce available – artisan bread, preserves, jams, fresh veg, wood fired pizza and many more stalls. Come along and give your support to local producers. Adhering to Covid rules and regulations.
Ty Golau (House of Light) Dementia Charitable Trust Therapeutic group for people with memory problems meet every Monday morning (10.30am-noon) at Canolfan John Burns Centre, Carmarthen Road, Kidwelly. Every session is specifically aimed to stimulate the brain in a fun and non-threatening way. Come along to exercise your brain, meet with friends and have a great morning. Flower arranging classes Very basic flower arranging classes held on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 7pm at St Mary’s Church. Please bring your own flowers. Tea and coffee will be provided at a charge of £2 but please bring your own cup/mug. Adhering to Covid rules and regulations.
Short mat bowls held every Wednesday from 1pm-3pm at the Princess Gwenllian Centre. A fee of £5 is payable which includes tea and biscuits. Bowls are also provided if required.
Ladies-only kickboxing classes Sessions are now held every Wednesday at Princess Gwenllian Centre at 7pm. To avoid disappointment, booking is highly recommended as numbers are limited due to Covid guidelines. For further information please contact Shogun Cymru via Facebook Messenger.
