Harriers star in Teifi race as top events make return
TRACK and field and road running events have made a welcome return to several venues across Wales and England.
The West Wales composite team travelled to Yate to compete at the opening UK Youth Development League fixture of the season for under-17 and under-20 age groups.

At the Teifi 10-mile Road Race in Lampeter, Cameron Young and Marcus Etheridge were the second and third male home in 56:01 and 56:50 respectively. Elizabeth Tremlett picked up runners-up spot in the Female 35+ category in a time of 1:08.19.
Nick Venables (1:17.00) and Jason Dickinson (1:18.52) were also in action in Ceredigion.
Further afield, Dafydd Jones ran 14:42.18 in the Comeback 5000m at Battersea Park in London, while there was a 1500m personal best time of 3:53.08 for Frank Morgan at the BMC Trafford Gold Standard Races.
A few days later in West London, Morgan broke the Carmarthen Harriers under20 men’s 3000m club record, clocking 8:23.50, which took three seconds off the previous record set in 2008.
Eleanor Fuller (800m, 2:34.90) and Macsen Toogood (3000m, 9:59.84) entered the Yeovil Olympiads AC Bill Whistlecroft Spring Open Meeting over the Easter period.
Jake Lynock and Esme Lynock ran over 3k at the Bristol track club event, crossing the line in 9:42 and 13:55 respectively.
