Fruity Fridays The town council will be giving free fruity goody bags to any children that register from Pembrey and Burry Port. To register children call 01554 834346 or send an email to our community developmen­t officer on louise. robinson@pembreybur­ryport-tc.gov.uk with the following details: Name and age of child/ children,home address, parent/guardian’s name and contact number. These details will be held only to reserve the weekly fruit bags and will be destroyed after the initiative is completed. Fruit bags can be collected every Friday between noon and 2pm from the front of the Memorial Institute building until the last Friday on August 28. Spaces are limited.

Lighthouse Library bookswaps Now open at 69 Station Road between the Co-op and the fish and chip shop. Closed Saturday 12th and Saturday 20th to Monday 29th August. Back open August 30. Food Forward Food Boxes Collaborat­ing with Fairshare and Pembrey and Burry Port Town Council, Food Forward Burry Port is a Lottery funded project which will support residents in your area. The venue is 38 Station Road, Burry Port SA16 0LP. The opening times are every Tuesday between 11am and 5pm. £1 a year for membership then each week you will have the option of spending £3.50 or £5 for goods worth between £15 to £20.
