Thomas double earns win

-

LIAM Thomas grabbed a brace for Carmarthen Town in their 3-2 away win in JD Cymru South on Friday night at Goytre United, who had Rory Healey sent off 14 minutes from the end.

Thomas scored the first with a penalty, then an overhead kick put Carmarthen 2-1 up at half-time. Greg Walters scored the winner.

After the weekend, and with every team having played four games in the league, Carmarthen are now third in the table behind leaders Briton Ferry Llansawel and Taffs Well, who are both unbeaten.

There is a full programme of fixtures in the Cymru South this Friday, with Carmarthen home to Port Talbot-based Trefelin BGC.

And there is also a full fixture list on Bank Holiday Monday (August 29), with the Old Gold at home again, this time to Barry Town United.
