Seniors bag aces galore
CARMARTHEN Golf Club seniors entertained Ashburnham in their penultimate match of the season and were victorious 4.5-2.5.
The remainder of the seniors took part in a stableford competition, which resulted in an emphatic win for Rhodri Davies, whose 45 points was five clear of the field.
In second on 40 points was Cliff Webb. Two players recorded 39 with Alan James ahead of Jimmy Crawford on countback. Dai Elias was a further point back in fifth.
It has been a remarkable week for the seniors with three players recording holes in one.
Clive Thomas and Clive Evans achieved the feat on the ninth on Monday, and it was repeated by Ray Harley on the 13th hole on Thursday.
This week sees the last match of the season against Haverfordwest, while the rest of the senior section play in a Waltz competition.
