SIX THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT THE NEW CURRICULUM FOR WALES
1. Many schools have already started working differently
2. The curriculum has been designed around four purposes for learners
3. Teachers will have more flexibility working within a nationally defined framework
4. Familiar subjects will still be taught, but organised into Areas of Learning and Experience 5. Learning about Welsh history, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic histories, will be included in the new curriculum
6. Developmentally appropriate Relationships and Sexuality Education will be mandatory, as will Religion, Values and Ethics, in all schools from September 2022
