Ammanford penalty woe
AMMANFORD bowed out of the JD Cymru South Cup when they lost to Briton Ferry Llansawel on penalties.
Ferry won the shootout 4-3 after the game had ended 4-4.
Tom Walters got Ferry off to a flying start with a goal after three minutes and they led 2-1 at the break. Lee Trundle missed a penalty for the home side, but then set up Matt Fisher for the equaliser.
Keiran Williams gave Ferry the lead for a second time after 37 minutes.
Jordan Langley made it 2-2 in the 56th minute and then responded to a Josh Jones goal to make it 3-3.
Euros Griffiths looked to have won it in normal time for Ammanford before Luke Bowen levelled again to make it 4-4 with eight minutes to go.
That took the game to penalties and the visitors kept their cool to come out on top.
