VERBENA BONARIENSIS

This is an easy-going perennial that will flower from June to September and mixes easily with other perennials and grasses.

It has become very popular and with good reason. The clusters of lilac flowers on top of tall sturdy stems gives it a light transparent appearance, the flowers appearing to dance in mid-air.

Grow in a sunny spot in well-drained soil. It dies back over winter and in colder areas you can protect with a mulch. Great for attracting butterflies to the garden.
