Solve a murder or two on a hassle-free river cruise

-

LLANELLI’S Phoenix Theatre Group is inviting local theatre-goers to consider a hassle-free river cruise with a murder or two on board to solve.

Audiences can book their cabins now for a cruise down the Nile, captained by Agatha Christie.

The group’s October production is Christie’s classic Murder on the Nile.

The tale unfolds as the tranquillity of a cruise down Egypt’s River Nile is shattered when a gunshot rings out.

What begins as a pleasant sightseeing cruise becomes a thrill-ride of jealousy, suspicion, passion, rivalry and revenge.

Quite different from the films and TV versions based on the book, Christie wrote the play herself and crafted it for the medium of theatre and for the theatre actors whom she so loved and admired so much.

The passengers on board comprise many regular Llanelli Phoenix Theatre Group faces such as Daniel James, Carys Awen Jones, Cassandra Bennett, Jeremy Lewis, Lisa Isaac, Andrew Sayers, Cory BentleyRowe,

Anthony Evans, Gemma Jones, and John Dayman.

Two newcomers Paige White and Hefin Rosser also join the cast.

Murder on the Nile plays for three nights at Llanelli’s Y Ffwrnes theatre, between Thursday, October 13 and Saturday, October 15, with performances starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £12 each, with reductions for groups of eight or more, and are available from Y Ffwrnes box office on 0345 226 3510 or online at TheatrauSirGar.co.uk
