SEDUM ‘AUTUMN JOY’

Chosen from the gardens of Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Highgrove, the funeral wreath from King Charles to his late mother was full of symbolism and rich autumnal flowers. Rosemary for remembrance, oak for strength and myrtle to symbolise a happy marriage were amongst the foliage.

The seasonal flowers were rich pinks and purples with hydrangeas, roses and dahlias all playing a part. Sedum was there too, a great late flowering perennial with rosy flower heads. A good source of late nectar for bees and butterflies, plant in a sunny well-drained spot and don’t overfeed as they will flop over.
