Drefach hit back to win

DREFACH Under-14s beat Peniel 3-1 with a fine display in the Carmarthenshire Junior.

Drefach started well, but were denied by a series of excellent saves by the Peniel keeper.

But after 15 minutes Peniel took the lead via an own goal.

Peniel started to put some attacks together and the Drefach defence in the shape of S Rhys, C Thomas, T Bull and H Thomas had to dig in to keep them at bay.

Drefach levelled when O Jones assisted Roberts, who found the back of the net after a defensive mix-up from the visitors.

And spurred on by this, the hosts took the lead before the break when T Bull found L Thomas, whose superb shot found the net.

Midway through the second half the ever-persistent Roberts made the game safe with his second goal.
