Reduce the risk of vision problems
One of the most common causes of blurry vision is cataracts, which can be corrected with a simple operation. However, there are things you can do yourself to lower your risk of getting them.
■ Get your eyes checked every two years as cataracts can usually be picked up during a normal eye test.
■ Eat a healthy, balanced diet with plenty of fruits and dark, leafy vegetables.
■ When outside, wear a sunhat with a wide brim and dark sunglasses which will help reduce the harmful UV rays reaching your eyes and damaging your lenses.
■ If you smoke, try to quit.
