Alien prepares to land at the National Space Centre

LOVEABLE alien Q Pootle 5 will be zooming in from planet Okidoki to join the National Space Centre team on Friday, May 12, for a day of toddler fun.

Small Space Days are the toddler events at the National Space Centre for the littlest astronauts to enjoy.

Nick Butterwort­h, best-selling children’s author and illustrato­r, is bringing Q Pootle 5 to meet new friends at the National Space Centre.

Combining stories, songs and trails, this is a fun and interactiv­e way for young children to continue their early educationa­l developmen­t.

There is also the chance to see a special show featuring the planets and even meet our own Astronaut, George!

The building and all activities are dedicated to these smallest visitors, so this is a great way to enjoy the National Space Centre, with lots of extra activities to keep young hands and minds busy.

Join the commanders in the sensory story area where they will be reading a selection of Nick Butterwort­h’s books includ- ing the adventures of Q Pootle 5 and Percy the Park Keeper.

There will be time to grab the ultimate memento of your visit, a photo with Q Pootle 5! Go along and meet Q Pootle 5 – make sure you pack your camera.

Award-winning children’s author and illustrato­r, Nick Butterwort­h is the creator of much loved books including Q Pootle 5, the Percy The Park Keeper series, Tiger, Albert Le Blanc and The Whisperer and has sold over 15 million copies worldwide.

Nick is also the executive producer and writer of hit CBeebies animated series Q Pootle 5. Set in space, on the fictional planet of Okidoki, Q Pootle 5 follows the adventures of a friendly little alien and his pals.
