Half term fun at Space Centre

-

VISITORS can have an amazing day out at the National Space Centre during this school holiday period between May 27 and June 4.

Take a tour round the hands-on exhibition, travel in the glass lift to the top of the iconic Rocket Tower, sit back in the UK’s largest planetarium and even enjoy a bite to eat under real giant rockets. The centre has added lots to do on the day for all the family, so get there early and don’t miss a thing.

The Universal Orchestra LIVE - Join Mission Commanders for a journey through space and time to create the origins of the universe in this live musical workshop. Become the universe, or a small part of its creation, with your own musical instrument. Will you be matter, antimatter, electrons or neutrons?

Star in a Jar - Take a seat and get creative making your very own magical star in a jar. The centre will provide everything you need for the whole family to get involved. Take home your very own piece of art.

Galaxy Pinwheel - Time to design and create your very own wind powered spiral galaxy. The Pinwheel Galaxy is a spiral-shaped galaxy about 21 million light years away from Earth. Scientists call this swirling galaxy M101. For those of us who can’t see it in the night sky, we can have the next best thing: a Pinwheel Galaxy pinwheel!
