Comfortabl­e victory for Spot On MP

LEADERS Spot On MP beat Navigation Wagg’s Gang 6-3 in Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs and Clubs Darts League last week. Andy Hibbert hit his third maximum of the season and captain Ben Ashurst his first for the reigning champions Bottom Railway BA as they beat the Royal Oak Shooters by the same score to move to within one point of the leaders. Dougie Porter hit a maximum for his Royal Oak DP side as they beat the Arena Gladiators 7-2, and the Blue Ball Lions won a close game against the Three Nuns Left Footers.

In Wanty’s Division Two, Brush Club AW open up a six point lead at the top of the division with their 8-1 win against the Tap and Mallet JB. Whilst second place Shepshed Dynamo Gatecrashe­rs beat third place Spot On Guy ‘n’ Gals 5-4 in a game that saw Julie Hardy and Michael Sciepanow both hit maximums for the Spot On.

In S H Cox Division Three, The Three Crowns, Barrow take over at the top after they equalled the highest winning margin of the night with their 8-1 result over the Three Nuns Albion, whilst Gary Hodges hit a maximum for the Crown Inn Glory as they beat the Beacon Reds 7-2 to move up to third.

In Generous Briton Division Four, the Spot On Rejects continued their impressive start to the summer season with a 7-2 win against second place Twelve Degrees 26er’s to open up a 12 point lead at the top.

In Navigation Division Five, the Dewdrop Blues narrowly won the top of the table clash with promoted Swan in the Rushes Black Pearls 5-4 to draw level with their opponents at the top of the division. The Generous Briton Luffs beat third place White Hart Stags 6-3 giving the Royal Oak Old Uns the opportunit­y to close the gap on them with their 5-4 win against the Windmill Wild Hearts.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Six, the Top Railway DUI’s join the Plough Ernie’s at the top of the division after their 6-3 win against Blue Ball MS, and Ryan Hughes hit a maximum for the Swan in the Rushes Savvies as they lost 6-3 to the Crown Jewels, Barrow.
