NOEL’S WONDER WALLS UP FOR SALE

-

B eing a global rock star with a string of hit singles and albums under your belt would, you’d hope, help make life a little easier.

But Noel Gallagher is finding out that despite his worldwide fame and the millions he earned from his time in Oasis, it’s still hard to shift a property in a struggling market.

London’s prime central housing market has been in trouble for many months as increased Stamp Duty bills for £1m+ houses have taken their toll.

So now Noel, in a bid to help tempt some buyers to make an offer on his Little Venice house, has dropped his asking price from £11.5 to £9.95m. The property, which has six-bedrooms and a large kitchen with eat-in breakfast area and a separate dining room which leads directly out onto a private patio and garden, has been on the market for nearly a year despite coming with its own mews house at the back. Since leaving Oasis in 2009 after arguments with his brother Liam, Noel has forged a successful path as a solo artist with new band High Flying Birds. The guitarist and songwriter, 48, ditched the drugs and wild parties to settle down with second wife Sara MacDonald, buying this end-of-terrace house in London’s Little Venice in 2010.

It’s on the banks of Regent’s Canal and he lives there with two sons, Donovan and Sunny.
