Bubble Rush for Rainbows

-

A FOUNTAIN of bubbles shot out across Abbey Park to promote Rainbows Hospice’s ‘Bubble Rush’, set to take place for the first time ever this September.

Youngsters of all ages took the chance to jump in and get a taste of the foam-filled revelry in advance of the big event which will take place on September 23 at the historic Leicester park to raise funds for the Loughborough hospice.

There’s still time to sign up for the multicoloured foam-filled frenzy which will see participants run, walk, dance, or skip their way around a 5km circuit. Along the way they will encounter cannons blasting out walls of coloured bubbles, which are family and wheelchair friendly.

Each participant will receive a free Bub- ble Rush t-shirt, Rainbows wristband and participation medal. Organisers hope the event will raise at least £30,000 for the charity.

Victoria Brunt, events co-ordinator at Rainbows, said: “We are so excited to be holding our first Bubble Rush event in Leicester. But we would like more people to join us to make this our biggest, bubbliest foam-filled extravaganza ever! There is still time to get involved It’s not about speed or fitness, it’s about celebration, having fun with friends and family - and raising a smile for Rainbows.”

Entry is £25 for over 16s, £7.50 for under 16s and under 3s go free.
