A NUMBER of music-fans have taken to the internet to share their ‘disappointing’ experience of a new festival held at Donington Park.

Many that attended Septemberfest, which ran from September 22-24, have left dissatisfied comments on the festival’s Facebook page.

Though Septemberfest delivered with headliners Nathan Dawe, Razorlight and 5ive, a number of acts are said to have pulled out at last minute and the lack of attendees has also been criticised.

Jenny Clarke wrote: “Hardly any people there, atmosphere awful. I left after one night. Feel totally ripped off and will be writing to complain.”

Samantha Bradbery said: “Full refunds need to be provided to all in attendance, including businesses.”

Leanne Marie Bailey put: “We were informed that the 90s bands had cancelled by the employed security and the bands on the event programme on Facebook didn’t play (very disappointed). Not worth the price!”

Shelley Marie Wilkinson said: “Shocking experience was not worth the money wasn’t even there 24 hours! There was nothing VIP about the festival and was lied to by every- one we spoke too!”

However some did leave positive feedback for the festival. Natalie Holland said: “Just been front row with Atomic Kitten and loved it. Wouldn’t have been able to do that anywhere else! I’m having a nice time anyway!”

And Nikki Joanne Ellis said: “It is what you make it and we had a good laugh with lots of live music.”

The Echo has attempted to contact Septemberfest but a response was yet to be received at the time of publication.

However, in an online statement, the Septemberfest team said: “Yes, we’ve had some teething problems, we’ve had some lows, but also a lot of highs, thanks for all the support that has come through, and also the criticism, because we will listen and will get bigger and better for it!

“SeptemberFest 2018.... I think so!”
