Annual art fair
A LOUGHBOROUGH arts group is set to hold its annual art fair - which continues to get bigger and better each year.
On Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12, Art Space Loughborough will be showcasing creative pieces at Woodhouse Eaves Village Hall, in Main Street.
At the Autumn Art Fair attendees will be able to buy original, unique works of art by professional artists at an affordable price.
Many of the artists will be attending the event in person, so it is also an excellent opportunity to meet and discuss their work with them.
The group will be exhibiting many art forms including paintings, drawings, ceramics, textiles, photographs and digital prints.
All of the works will be for sale with prices starting at £2 for an original handmade card; limited edition prints from £25; and many original pieces being priced under £100.
The group is also running an art competition for pupils from the village primary school, St Paul’s.
The competition allows the students to create imaginative works of art and the opportunity to have their artwork displayed in the hall over the weekend. The prizes, which are donated by the group, are awarded in their school assembly.
Doors are open from 10am to 4pm both days. Entry is free.
Handmade cakes and refreshments will be also be available, the proceeds of which will be donated to the British Legion Poppy Appeal.
