Town firm’s new Irish office ready for Brexit
A LOUGHBOROUGH based company is preparing for life after Brexit by opening a new office in Ireland.
Cresco Innovation are a company based at the Advanced Technology Innovation Centre at Loughborough University Science Park, and in a bid to secure business after Brexit, it has opened a new office in Galway.
The company specialises in securing grants for technology-based clients, business planning, IP advice, access to finance and funders, project management and IP commercialisation support.
In a statement on the Cresco website it states: “We help client companies to identify opportunities to develop new products and services, and then create a package of support to ensure that the idea is turned into a commercial reality.”
The company has now made plans to set up an office at the Business Innovation Centre at the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG).
Cresco said that a number of UK companies have already moved some of their business operations to Ireland in preparation for Brexit, and that it saw its partnership with NUIG creating new opportunities for collaboration between clients from the UK and Ireland.
Cresco CEO Jo Derbyshire said: “We are very excited to formally establish our Irish operations.
“We have been working with Irish clients for some time, and the opportunity of an office at the NUIG Business Innovation Centre is the ideal opportunity for us to build on the success we have enjoyed so far. Cresco Ireland is a key pillar of our Brexit strategy.”
