Race for the Premier Division title will go to the final day

ON Tuesday, in the East Goscote Plumbers Premier Division Wymeswold FC beat Sutton Bonington Academical­s 5-0 with goals from Greg Fletcher (2), Linford Harris, Sam Allen and Jack Hesketh.

In the Windmill Trophies Division Three The top two Wymeswold Reserves and Asfordby Developmen­t both won on their travels.

Leaders Wymeswold Reserves won 3-1 away at Measham Welfare Reserves, Louis Starkey (2) and Luke Howitt for Wymeswold, Tom Gutteridge for Measham. Charlie Richards found the net five times in Asfordby Developmen­ts 6-2 win away at Woodhouse Imperial Reserves the sixth being an own goal for Asfordby, Reece Bell and Jon Dixon replying for Woodhouse.

On Thursday, Greenhill YC lifted this year’s Automedia Printers Cobbin Trophy with a 3-2 win against Wymeswold FC. Greenhill YC took a two-goal lead through Grant Brown and Tyler Dunlop before Linford Harris pulled one back for Wymeswold.

Grant Brown increased the Greenhill lead to 3-1 and then Linford Harris scored his second of the game, but Greenhill held out to take the Trophy.

On Saturday, it’s going down to the last game for the East Goscote Plumbers Premier title as Greenhill YC beat Wymeswold FC to regain top spot leaving them needing a win to clinch the title, goals from Tyler Dunlop (2) and Jamain Nelson gave Greenhill YC their 3-1 win, Jake McEnery replying for Wymeswold. Thringston­e MW won 3-2 away at Sutton Bonington Academical­s, Danny Turner, Gary Shaw and Rob Tarry for the Miners, James Dann and Zac Jackson for the Accies. Sporting Markfield vs Falcons FC ended in a goalless draw.

Shelthorpe Dynamo are the shedland. co.uk Division One Champions as they drew 1-1 with Luke Underwood grabbing a 90th minute equaliser against FC Polonia, Konrad Przybyla for Polonia.

Bottesford FC won 4-0 away at Greenhill YC Reserves, Alex Robinson and Rob Stecko grabbing a brace each for Bottesford. Belton Villa won 3-2 away at Loughborou­gh United, Alex Cooper, Ollie Meadows and Josh Taylor for Belton, Ryan Peacock hitting both the Loughborou­gh goals.

Market Bosworth are the Sports Advocate Division Two Champions after a 6-0 win away at Woodhouse Imperial with goals from, Ben Gascoigne (2), Duran Cummins (2), Terry Godfrey and leading scorer Daniel Morris. Greg Fardell hit the only goal of the game as Shepshed Amateurs Reserves beat Clawson Kings 1-0.

In the Windmill Trophies Division Three Goals from Louis Starkey (3), Curtis Mildenhall, Joe Loseby, Harry McEnery, Luke Ratcliffe and Matt Garner gave Wymeswold FC Reserves an 8-0 win at home to Greenhill YC ‘A’.

Wymeswold need to avoid defeat in their last game to take the title away from Asfordby who won their last game of the season 4-1 against Bottesford FC Reserves, Charlie Richards hitting a hat trick with Tom Atherley adding the fourth, Ephraim Morton for Bottesford.
