Scouts out on the trail for Rainbows Hospice
THORPE Acre Scout Group took part in Jamboree on the Trail (JOTT) and raised funds for Rainbows Hospice.
JOTT is an international event where Scouts from all over the world walk, hike or ramble within a 48 hour time slot.
The Scouts walked from the car park at High Cademan Wood, through Whitwick, to the summit of Bardon Hill and back picking up and dropping off Cubs and Beavers along the way.
Sponsorship in the region of £200 will be donated to Rainbows Hospice in memory of Rosie who used the hospice frequently before her death two years ago. Rosie’s young brother Maxwell is a Beaver at Thorpe Acre and took part in the walk.
