Long Whatton and Diseworth

VILLAGE WALK. As part of the National Forest Walking Festival Diseworth is staging a special Village Walk on Sunday this weekend, 20th May.

Those taking part are invited to meet at Diseworth Parish Church at 3pm and start with a visit to the church of St Michael and All Angels followed by a leisurely walk to see the various historical properties at the centre of the village, which dates back to Saxon Times.

The walkers will then progress to the Diseworth Heritage Centre in the former Baptist Chapel for a talk about its history and restoration.
