Take a walk in the Charn­wood For­est

A WALK through Charn­wood For­est is tak­ing place this week­end as part of the Na­tional For­est Walk­ing Fes­ti­val.

The nine-mile walk, ex­pected to take about five hours, will take place on Satur­day, May 19.

Start­ing from Copt Oak Church, next to Copt Oak pub, at 10am (park­ing at church cour­tesy of the church coun­cil), it will make use of pub­lic and per­mis­sive paths.

The walk cov­ers some of the best coun­try­side that Charn­wood has to of­fer with mag­nif­i­cent views from the Bea­con, Nan­pan­tan, and Lub­cloud.

It in­cludes a stop at Lub­cloud Vic­to­rian Tea room for morn­ing cof­fee. Chil­dren are wel­come if ac­com­pa­nied by an adult.
