Robbery at the Co-op

THREE men, armed with a weapon, have robbed a store in Shepshed.

The men, who were masked and who were carrying what was believed to be a crowbar, entered the Co-operative store in Hall Croft at around 6.20am on Thursday, May 10.

Two people were present in the store at the time. The men stole bags of cash before leaving. No-one was injured in the incident.

Enquires are being carried out and officers believe there were a number of people in the area at the time who could have informatio­n.

Detective Constable Ian Button said: “Please think back to if you were near the store. Did you see or hear anything which you thought was unusual. Did you witness anything which you believe could be linked to this offence?
