MORE than 17,000 people turned out for Loughborough’s annual car show last Sunday.

Love Loughborough teamed up once again with local car club Charnwood Cruisers to bring the much loved annual Classic & Vintage Car Show to the town centre on Father’s Day.

There were more than 170 stunning and colourful vehicles on display and Lisa Brown of Love Loughborough told the Echo that more than 17,700 people had come along to the popular show.

The huge variety of vehicles ranged from the JB 007 Aston Martin to the iconic DeLorean DMC-12, and more than 25 modifies courtesy of Team Modify, plus the classic favourites.

The winner of the ‘ Vehicle the Judge would most like to Take Home’ was Lou and Ann Aracsi of Birstall with their VW Camper and the day saw live music including a rock ‘n’ roll set from the Del Sharrons.

Love Loughborough says that it wants to thank Charnwood Cruisers for “a great team effort to put on a successful show and Paul Winson, for supplying the registration bus and the Land Rover guys for helping with the marshalling.”
