Expansion programme at town vets
THE Meadow Lane Veterinary Centre in Loughborough has opened up a new surgical facility as part of a £250,000 expansion programme.
Jenny Coulburn, a partner at the veterinary centre which was founded in the 1870s, said they had been determined to build on its long history and good reputation by introducing the most up-todate facilities.
A new dental suite, patient preparation area and operation area are also up and running, with the new surgical and diagnostic suite the latest addition as part of the extensive programme of works undertaken at Meadow Lane.
More work including brand new hospitalisation / kennelling facilities is planned for 2019.
Jenny said: “We are excited that a brand new, purpose-built, stateof-the-art surgical and diagnostic imaging suite is now fully open. The suite has been designed with great attention to detail and is equipped with the latest equipment which will ensure that the practice can continue to provide the highest standards of care for the pets of Loughborough.
“We believe it will be amongst the best that can be found in general practice.
“We have always prided ourselves on providing excellent care to our client’s pets and these new facilities will allow us to do even better.”
The expansion has also created several new jobs with the veterinary centre currently looking to recruit two veterinary surgeons and two to three extra veterinary nurses to join its team. Pictured is the new dental suite
